Y of Central Maryland’s President & CEO John Hoey Named The Daily Record’s 2012 Maryland’s Most Admired CEOs Award Winner

The Y of Central Maryland is pleased to announce President & CEO John Hoey is a winner of The Daily Record’s 2012 Maryland’s Most Admired CEOs Award. The Daily Record created the Most Admired CEOs Award to recognize some of the most notably talented CEOs leading the state’s nonprofit, for profit and public companies.  “Our 2012 Most Admired CEOs are talented and determined individuals who have demonstrated a great deal of leadership and perseverance in their professional communities and are people to be commended for their accomplishments.  Our recipients’ great success and commitment to excellence are truly an inspiration to business professionals statewide,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record.

Hoey was selected as a winner based on his demonstration of strong leadership, integrity, values, vision, commitment to excellence, financial performance and ongoing commitment to the community and diversity.

“We at the Y are very pleased with this recognition of John Hoey.  He has provided superb leadership in fulfilling the mission of one of Central Maryland's broadest reaching service enterprises. John exhibits all the characteristics of an admirable CEO—unrelenting focus on mission, builder of a team of unparalleled competence and commitment, and goal oriented. We on the Y's board are delighted to have him as our leader,” said Y of Central Maryland Board of Directors Chair Member, Jim McGill.
