Agencies To Address Falls Road Construction Questions

The city hopes to finish replacing water lines along Falls Road by June.

City agencies will be hosting a meeting on Tuesday to update residents, businesses and institutions about ongoing water line replacement on Falls Road.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Washington Elementary School, 1801 Sulgrave Ave.

Last fall the city began replacing water lines between Mattfeldt Avenue to the City Line. The construction at times has caused traffic delays and made getting to Mount Washington and some of the businesses in the area difficult.

Last week Patch spoke to some of the business owners about how they were doing despite the ongoing construction. The City anticipates construction on the project to be completed in June.

Members of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhoods, the Department of Public Works and the Department of Transportation are scheduled to attend the meeting to answer questions.

How has the construction impacted your life? Tell us in comments.
