Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

What Is the Best Gym in North Baltimore?

Vote on which gym you think is the best.

This week's Best of Patch contest is a hunt for the best place to get fit. What is the best gym in town?

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving anyone off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

No Sweat Fitness, 5100 Falls Road

Curves, 733 W. 40th Street No. 22

Meadow Mill Athletic, 3600 Clipper Mill Road

Meadowbrook, 5700 Cottonworth Avenue

Brick Bodies, 5911 York Road

Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Family Center Y at Stadium Place, 900 E 33rd Street

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday.

  • Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, positive comments below and in reviews on each of the businesses' Patch Places directory listings (you can reach them by clicking on the businesses above).
  • Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

If your business is listed here, learn how to claim your listing for free on North Baltimore Patch by reading this article.

We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

So tell us which is your favorite gym. And don't forget to tell us why in the comments below.

Next week: Best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

The best gym is the MAC (Maryland Athletic Club) in Timonium at 110 W. Timonium Road with the best pools, the best trainers, the best excercise equipment, the best hours, the best excercise programs, free and easy parking, and with some of the most reasonable fees to be a member.

Thanks for commenting Fred. But the gyms in this contest are limited to North Baltimore (City).

What about Bare Hills. You can throw a rock into the city from there.

Sorry I can't include anything on the other side of the city line.

I think CURVES is the best. FYI - I think you have the address wrong. CURVES is located in the building adjacent to the Rotunda.

Mary thanks for pointing out the error. I have corrected it to show the right address.

This isn't even a close call. The Weinberg Family Center Y is an incredible asset in the community, a beautiful facility and the only charitable, non-profit organization on the list that is focused on serving youth, families and seniors with a wide range of programs.
