Councilman D'Adamo's Unique Goodbye

Longtime Councilman Nick D'Adamo has constituent say goodbye for him with a song poking fun at his colleagues.

After serving on the Baltimore City Council since 1987 and the recent loss of both of his parents Councilman Nick D'Adamo, D-District 2, said he lacked the "fire in the belly" to continue running for office.

So D'Adamo said goodbye to his council colleagues Monday. But he wasn't content just making a few remarks. No, the longtime councilman decideded his friend Pete Glass should help say "adios" with a song they both wrote about his peers.

The song got some laughs especially with this line directed at two North Baltimore lawmakers: “Well there’s Bill Henry who works until dark/ Known to many as Mrs. Mary Pat Clarke”
