CRIME: Burglar Disables Alarm But Not Video Recorder

Hampden

Falls Road, 3700 block, between 5 and 5:45 am July 31. A burglar cut the phone line and destroyed the audible alarm at a liquor store before forcing open the lock on the front door, police said. The burglar entered the store and stole 46 cell phones from LG Wireless 5, a separate store in the building, as well as $800, liquor and cigarettes from the liquor store. Surveillance equipment recorded the thefts.

Harwood

Greenmount Avenue, 2600 block, 1:29 am Aug. 5. A man was punched and kicked by several suspects until he was unconscious. The incident was recorded on a CITIWATCH camera, police said.

Charles Village

West 27th Street, 400 block, 11 pm Aug 4. Two women got in an argument with a man who then drove his blue Jeep onto the sidewalk and attempted to hit them with the vehicle.

Waverly

East 33rd Street, 600 block, midnight July 31.  For unknown reasons, a man got angry with another man and began beating him with his hands. The second man suffered a cut that required stitches and he was taken to the hospital for bleeding from his ears.
