Five Things to Know About North Baltimore: March 9

Check out what's going on in North Baltimore this evening.

1.) Redistricting: North Baltimore residents will have the chance to review proposed changes to Baltimore City Council Districts. The council will hold a hearing at 5 p.m. at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. According to the city charter, council districts must be reexamined the year following a census.

2.) CSI: The Village Learning Place is hosting its Second Wednesday event CSI: Baltimore. John French, a 30-year veteran of the Baltimore Police Department, will make a presentation on the equipment and methods used in a crime lab to help solve crimes.

3.) A little night action at Homewood Field as Johns Hopkins University's men's lacrosse team looks to rebound from a tough loss to Princeton. The Blue Jays will be taking on Manhattan at 7 p.m.

4.) : Keeping kids safe while taking advantage of all the positives of the Internet is a growing concern. At Roland Park Elementary and Middle School at 7 p.m., Cynthia Pappas will give a lecture on how to keep kids safe while online.

5.) The Money Matters financial literacy classes continue at 6 p.m. at Dallas Nichols Elementary this evening. Tonight the classes will look at financial institutions, such as banks and credit unions.
