Harwood Murder Victim Identified

Damon Vaughn, 21, was shot and killed in what police believe was a running gun battle.

Baltimore police have identified the man shot and killed in Harwood on Labor Day as Damon Vaughn.

Vaughn, 21, was found in the 2600 block of Boone Street suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died of his wounds that night. 

Another man was found shot in the right ankle in the 2700 block of Matthews Street. At the time police said they believe the men were injured in a running gun battle.

According to online court records, Vaughn, of the 3900 block of Greenmount Avenue, had a lengthy criminal record including a 2007 conviction for attempted armed robbery.
