Man Beaten, Robbed in Hampden Home

The robber reportedly made off with $1,357.

 

A man reported $1,357 was stolen after he was beaten and robbed in his home in Hampden.

The man came home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in 1300 block of West 37th Street, according to a police report, and we he opened the door the robber punched him in the face and then began to repeatedly punch him in the face.

The robber then ripped the pocket of the man’s pants off, taking the money and then running from the home.

The police report the man had a swollen face and a possible broken arm and was taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment.

What a shame it sounded like was justifed! Anyone should be able to carry as much money on them without being robbed and beaten in their own home!
