Man Robbed at Gunpoint In Remington

The robber stole $50 and a black leather bag.

A man was robbed at gunpoint just after 6 a.m. in Remington last Monday.

The man was walking in the 400 block of West 27th Street when a robber with a handgun approached him and demanded his property, according to a police report.

The robber stole $50 in cash and a black leather bag with empty prescription bottles.  The man then ran west through an alley toward Barclay Street, but was unharmed.

Are you sure this isn't EAST 27th St? Barclay is like 12 blocks from W 27th, but right next to 400 East 27th...

Kelly, it gave me pause too but the police report specifically lists the crime as 400 block of West 27th Street.

OK. Here's my confusion. If this incident occurred in Remington, then you cannot run WEST to Barclay street. Barclay St. is east of Remington. And just curious, but why did they say Barclay st? Why not Calvert St., Guilford Ave. or Abell Ave. All of those streets are east of Remington.

This was not in Remington...Barclay Street is in Charles Village (about a 3/4 of a mile from Remington)...There must have been a typo (W. 27th instead of E. 27th)

According to the police report, and the address is listed twice in the report, this happened on West 27th Street.
