Man Shot Monday in Harwood Dies

Police confirmed that one of the men involved in a multiple shooting died after being shot multiple time.

Baltimore police have confirmed that one of the men involved in a double shooting has died.

Police were initially called on Monday evening for a serious shooting at 27th and Boone streets.

Police found the man in the 2600 block of Boone Street suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. He was taken to John Hopkins Hospital where he died at about 7:30 p.m. on Monday, said Det. Donny Moses, a police spokesman.

A second wounded man, who was shot in his right ankle, was found in the 2700 block of Mathews Street. The man was taken to an area hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery, according to police.

"Detectives believe this may have been a running gun battle between two males," Moses said.

The shooting capped a violent holiday weekend in the Harwood neighborhood.
