Man Slashed During Waverly Assault
The attack occurred not far from the area where the 32nd Street Farmers' Market is held.
A man was slashed with an unknown weapon on his hand and forearm during an attack early Saturday morning in Waverly.
A man was walking in the 400 block of Merryman Lane at 5 a.m., and noticed he was being followed. He turned around and asked the assailant “What’s up?” and the assailant replied, “You know what’s up,” according to a police report.
That’s when the assailant cut the man across his left hand and forearm. After being cut, the man ran to Union Memorial Hospital for treatment.
