North Baltimore Crime: Carjackers Target Man Riding Scooter

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Larceny from Auto: 3200 Old York Road, between 11:30 p.m., Sept. 2. And 1:50 a.m., Sept. 3. The window of a 2001 Lincoln was busted out and an iPad was stolen.

Attempted Stolen Auto: 4500 block of Schenley Road, 3:10 a.m., Sept. 5. Thieves attempted to steal a 2011 Vespa scooter.

Stolen Auto: 100-block Overhill Road, between 12:01 and 10:40 a.m., Sept. 2. A red 2005 Chevy Malibu was stolen.

Harwood

Burglary Residential: 300 block of East 27th Street, 1:38 p.m., Sept. 2. A burglar broke open a rear window with a brick and triggered the home’s security alarm.

Stolen Auto: 400 block of East Lorraine, between 1:15 and 9:30 a.m., Sept. 3. A 2004 Honda accord was stolen.

Homeland

Stolen Auto: 5400 block of York Road, 10:30 p.m., Sept. 2. A blue 2001 Chevy Venture was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 5700 block of Bellona Avenue, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Sept. 8. The window of a 2006 Dodge was broken and two laptops belonging to The Sentinel-The Guarded Place were stolen.

Lake Walker

Burglary Residential: 1000 block of East Lake Avenue, 8:40 a.m., Sept. 4.  A burglar entered the home through a rear window, but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Loyola/Notre Dame

Attempted Stolen Auto: 4600 block of Millbrook Road, between 2 and 7 a.m., Sept. 4. A thief entered the vehicle and damaged the door handle, the ignition and then stole a blue jean jacket.

Stolen Auto: 4600 block of Millbrook Road, between 8:30 p.m., Sept. 3 and 5:45 p.m., Sept. 6. A 1994 blue Honda Accord was stolen.

Mt. Washington

Burglary Garage: 5700 block of Pimlico Road, between 6 and 7 p.m., Sept. 4. A burglar broke a side window, entered the garage and stole a Red Rock Spirit bike.

Burglary Commercial: 1500 block of Sulgrave Avenue, 11:40 p.m., Sept. 8. A burglar forced open the front door and tripped the alarm. 

Remington

Burglary Residential: 2700 block of Hampden Avenue, between 3 p.m., Sept. 3 and 10:30 a.m., Sept. 5. A burglar broke into the home through a rear window and stole copper piping.

Burglary Residential: 2900 block of Huntingdon Avenue, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Sept. 7.  The window of the rear basement door was broken and a burglar stole cigars, PlayStation 3, Wii and game controllers. 

Roland Park

Burglary Garage: 200 block of Hawthorne Road, between 3 and 3:30 p.m., Sept. 4. The burglar entered the garage through a side door and stole a GT mountain bike and Mongoose bike. 

Larceny from Auto: 210 Ridgewood Road, between 8 p.m., Sept. 6 and 4 p.m., Sept. 7. The window of a 2006 Toyota was broken and a handicap placard was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: unit block of Midvale Road, between 8 p.m., Sept. 6 and 7 a.m., Sept. 7. A backpack and sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked 2006 Volvo.

Woodberry

Attempted Carjacking: 3600 block of Parkdale Avenue, 10:48 a.m., Sept. 2. A man had got on his scooter when four carjackers attempted to pull him off the vehicle. The man resisted and neighbor called police then the carjackers ran away.

Larceny from Auto: 3600 block of Parkdale Avenue, between 9 p.m., Sept. 2 and 7:40 a.m., Sept. 3. A TomTom GPS was stolen from an unlocked Honda.
