North Baltimore Crime: CVS Robbed for Prescription Meds

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery Commercial Armed: 2500 block N. Charles Street, 4:45 p.m., March 28. A robber entered the CVS and demanded the clerks give him Oxycodone and Percocet. When the clerks did not move the robber pulled out a handgun and said "don’t make me use this."  The robber then went around the counter and filled his backpack with the medicine and ran north on Charles Street.

Stolen Auto: 3208 N. Calvert Street, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., March 25. A black 2008 Yamaha scooter was stolen.

Burglary Residential: 3200 block N. Charles Street, 9:03 a.m., March 25. A burglar entered the property through a kitchen window that opens to the fire escape. The burglar stole an Xbox, a PlayStation 3, a 42 inch Samsung TV and a Vizio TV. The burglar was observed loading the property into a 2004 Honda.

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 3400 block of Greenway, between 6 p.m., March 25, and 7:55 a.m., March 26. The door frame of a 1996 Toyota was bent.

Larceny Shoplifting: 2500 block of N. Charles Street, 1:45 p.m., March 29.  A shoplifter entered the CVS and stole various items totaling about $266, then ran out of the store and was later arrested. 

Larceny from Auto: 2500 block N. Calvert Street, between 7:45 p.m., March 27 and 7:15 a.m., March 28. The window of a blue 1996 Honda Accord was smashed and an iPod, Kindle and three text books were stolen.

Burglary Commercial: 2500 block N. Charles Street, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., March 28. A 52-inch Sony television, a Comcast Internet router, an Apple laptop and various boxes of lotion were stolen from Funk Salon. But there were no obvious signs of entry and the doors were still locked when a cleaning crew arrived.

Wyman Park

Stolen Auto: 3400 block Keswick Road, 4 a.m., March 25. A 2003 blue Chrysler Town and Country was stolen.

Pen Lucy

Recovered Stolen Auto: 3600 block Old York Road, 3:03 p.m., March 26. A white 1999 Honda Accord was recovered.

Recovered Stolen Auto: 3600 block Old York Road, 3:03 p.m., March 26. A green 1999 Audi A6 was recovered.

Larceny from Auto: 3100 block Old York Road, between 8:45 a.m. and 1 p.m., March 27. Two tires and two rims were stolen off a silver 2002 Ford Taurus.

Burglary Residential: 600 block E. 41st Street, between 7 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., March 28. A burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear window, then ransacked the house before leaving without taking any property.

Woodbourne-McCabe

Recovered Stolen Auto: 800 block McCabe Avenue, 9 a.m., March 26. A silver 1999 Lexus RX 300 was recovered.

Remington

Burglary Residential: 300 block W. 27th Street, between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., March 25. A burglar forced open a front door but did not take any property.

Larceny from Auto: 300 block W. 31st Street, 8 a.m., March 25. A stereo, emergency kit and glasses were stolen from a 1996 Honda.  

Larceny from Auto: between 3 p.m., March 25, and 3:20 p.m. March 26. A Garmin GPS and Grill were stolen from a 1997 Mercury.

Homeland

Recovered Stolen Auto: 100 block Witherspoon Road, 10: 50 p.m., March 26. A 2003 gold Jaguar S Type was recovered.

Cedarcroft

Robbery Unarmed: 500 block Ceadarcroft Road, 9:55 p.m., March 25.  A man was walking when three robbers approached and started punching him.  During the assault one of the robbers took the man’s cell phone and ran south on Ready Avenue. A responding officer located and arrested one of the robbers.

Abell

Burglary Residential: 2900 block Guilford Avenue, between 9:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., March 26. A burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear door and stole a television.

Wyman Park

Larceny from Auto: 500 block W. 33rd Street, 8:10 a.m., March 26. A window wiper and iPhone charger were stolen from a 2007 Chevy.

Hampden

Stolen Auto: 3600 block Hickory Avenue, between 5 and 10:30 p.m., March 28. A silver 2002 Chevy Venture was stolen.

Attempted Burglary Residential: 1200 block W. 36th Street, between 1 and 3:30 p.m., March 28. Someone attempted to kick the rear door in but didn’t get into the house.

Chiquapin Park-Belvedere

Larceny from Auto: 500 E. Northern Parkway, between 12:15 and 1:05 p.m., March 29. A handicap placard was stolen from a blue 2001 Toyota Sienna.

Harwood

Burglary Residential: 300 block Whitridge Avenue, between 8:30 and 11:11 a.m., March 27.  A burglar pushed an air conditioning unit through the window and stole televisions, two laptops and video game systems from a home.

Better Waverly

Larceny: 3100 block Greenmount Avenue, 6:05 p.m., March 28. A woman was shopping at Goodwill when she put her phone down on a counter. The woman behind her in line picked up the phone and put it in her purse and left. The incident was caught on video.

Robbery Carjacking Armed: 500 block E. 29th Street, March 31. A woman was giving two men a ride. When they arrived at their destination one of the men pulled out a silver handgun and struck her in the mouth. He told her "[woman] get out." They then took her white 1996 Toyota Camry.

Guilford

Larceny from Auto: 4600 Kernwood Avenue, between 10 p.m., March 27 and 7:10 a.m., March 28. Two bottles of ADD medicine, $60 and two cameras were stolen froma purple 2012 Scion.

Larceny from Auto: unit block Whitfield Road, between noon, March 29 and 11 a.m., March 30. The rear license plate was stolen from a blue Hyundai Wagon.
