North Baltimore Crime: JHU Security Catches Burglar

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary Residential: 3100 block of Frisby Street, between noon and 2:30 p.m., Sept. 12. A burglar entered an unlocked rear door and stole a television, iPod and DVD player.

Burglary Residential: 600 block of E. 29th Street, between 7:45 a.m. and 12:20 p.m., Sept. 13. A burglar entered through a second floor window and stole a Toshiba laptop, a PlayStation 3 and video games.

Charles Village

Burglary Commercial: 3000 block of N. Charles Street, 12:05 a.m., Sept. 9.  The burglar pushed open a front window of Moxie Hair Studio, entered the building and was spotted by a Johns Hopkins University security officer. The security officer told the burglar to get out of the building and detained him until a Baltimore police officer could arrive and take him into custody.

Stolen Auto: 1400 block of W. Cold Spring Lane, between 6:30 and 10:30 p.m., Sept. 10. A black and orange 2009 Yamaha R6 was stolen.

Evesham Park

Larceny from Auto: 500 block of E. Northern Parkway, between 2 and 3:30 p.m., Sept. 13. A handicap placard was stolen from a white 2007 Toyota Camry.

Guilford

Burglary Residential: 4300 block of St. Paul Street, between 10:30 and 10:50 a.m., Sept. 9. A burglar entered through an unlocked rear door and stole a laptop, Macbook, wallet, credit card and license.

Stolen Auto: 4400 block of Eastway, between 12:30 and 7 a.m., Sept. 10. A silver 2004 Saturn Vue was stolen.

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 4300 block of Rugby Road, 2:32 a.m., Sept. 10. An unlocked 2011 Toyota was ransacked, but nothing was stolen.

Hampden

Burglary Residential: 2900 block of Keswick Road, between noon and 12:20 p.m., Sept. 11. A burglar entered through a side window and stole an iPhone, a black safe, a passport and a green card.

Harwood

Burglary Residential: 2500 block of Barclay Street, 10:15 a.m., Sept. 9. The burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear window. The resident confronted the burglar and he said his name was “John,” and then ran out through the rear door.

Burglary Residential: 2500 block of Barclay Street, between 9:20 a.m. and 8:15 p.m., Sept. 9. The burglar entered the home through an unlocked rear window and stole watches, jewelry, a television and $50.  

Homeland

Attempted Stolen Auto: 400 block of Tunbridge Road, between 4 p.m., Sept. 10 and 3 a.m., Sept. 11. A would be car thief entered a tan 1999 Plymouth Voyager through a door. 

Burglary Residential: 5400 block of St. Albans Way, between 8 a.m. and 12:40 p.m., Sept. 13. A burglar entered through a side window but did not take any property.

Stolen Auto: 5800 block of Bellona Avenue, between 6 p.m., Sept. 12 and 7:35 a.m., Sept 13. A red 2001 Dodge caravan was stolen.

Stolen Auto: 400 Benninghaus Road, between 4 p.m., Sept. 13 and 7:30 a.m., Sept. 14. A green 1997 Dodge caravan was stolen.  

Lake Walker

Burglary Residential: 600 block of E. Lake Avenue, between 4:25 and 7:30 p.m., Sept. 9. The burglar broke a basement window entered the home and stole a television and a laptop.

Medfield

Burglary Residential: 4400 block of Falls Bridge Drive, between 6 and 6:10 a.m., Sept. 9. A burglar entered the house through an unlocked front door and a camera, iPod, laptop and software were stolen.

 Mt. Washington

Burglary Garage: 2300 block of Rogers Avenue, between noon and 3 p.m., Sept. 10. A burglar kicked the garage door open and stole six bikes.

Burglary Residential: 5700 block of Greenspring Avenue, 12:50 p.m., Sept. 11. A burglar cut through the porch screen and went through items but did not steal anything.

Pen Lucy

Burglary Residential: 3900 block of Greenmount Avenue, between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., Sept. 11. A burglar entered through an unlocked side window and stole a laptop, PlayStation 3, games and a Bluray player.

Burglary Residential: 3900 block of Greenmount Avenue, between 9:20 a.m. and 9 p.m., Sept. 11. A burglar broke through the front window and went through the drawers in the house and moved various items.  

Wilson Park

Burglary Residential: 500 block of Oakland Avenue, 4 p.m., Sept. 10. The burglar entered the home through an unlocked patio door. But the resident returned while the burglar was in the house and he ran away through the rear door.

Winston-Govans

Burglary Residential: 5200 block of York Road, between 4:40 and 4:50 p.m., Sept. 12. A burglar entered an unlocked door and stole a cell phone and personal papers.

Woodberry

Larceny from Auto: 2000 block of Rockrose Avenue, between 6:59 a.m., and 9:54 a.m., Sept. 13. The window of a green 2005 Honda Odyssey was broken and a Kate Spade purse and check books were stolen.
