North Baltimore Crime: Larceny from Auto Plagues Neighborhoods

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore City Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Hampden

Commercial Armed Robbery: 900 block of West 36th Street, 1:35 a.m., May 29. A robber walked into the store, displayed a silver handgun and demanded money from the cash registers. An employee opened the registers and the robber took an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before running away.

Larceny from Auto: 3700 block of Falls Road, between 11:30 p.m., May 29 and 11:08 a.m., May 31. A helmet was stolen from a 2007 Chevy.

Attempted Stolen Auto: 3500 block of Roland Avenue, 9:45 p.m., May 31. A thief attempted to steal a blue 2001 Dodge van.

Larceny from Auto: 700 block of Wyman Park Drive, between 10:45 a.m. and 7 p.m., May 31. The window of a 2009 Ford with New Jersey tags was broken and a Tom Tom GPS was stolen.

Charles Village

Larceny from Auto: unit block East 30th Street, between 1:15 a.m. and noon, May 27. A Garmin GPS, radio and charger were stolen from a 1996 Acura.

Larceny from Auto: 200 block East 32nd Street, between 6 p.m., May 30 and 12:29 a.m. May 1. A Maryland license plate was stolen from a 2012 Honda.

Larceny from Auto: 2900 block of Guilford Avenue, between 1:55 and 2:10 a.m., June 2. A purse, cell phone and $200 were stolen from an unlocked 2005 Honda with Massachussets plates. 

Harwood

Larceny from Auto: 400 block of Ilchester Avenue, between 5 p.m., May 31 and 9:30 a.m., June 1. Tools, a wallet and a CB radio were stolen from a 2006 Jeep.

Stolen Auto: 400 block of East 26th Street, between 8 p.m., June 1 and 3:45 a.m., June 2. A black 2012 Kymco Scooter was stolen.   

Waverly

Larceny Shoplifting: 2900 block of Greenmount Avenue, 5:10 p.m., May 27. A shoplifter stole a hair weave from Magic Town.

Aggravated Assault: 3000 block of Greenmount Avenue, 6:50 p.m., May 30. A man was riding his bike when an assailant knocked him down. The assailant then hit the man in the face with a handgun. He was able to get back on his bike and ride away.

Larceny: 3300 block of Greenmount Avenue, 4:20 p.m., May 29. A man was approached by another man who asked if he could use his cell phone. The man agreed and then the other man took off running with the phone.

Burglary Residential: 3700 block of Greenmount Avenue, between 1 and 5 p.m., May 29. A burglar broke the window on a rear door and stole a laptop, television, iPad and PlayStation 3.

Remington

Larceny from Auto: 200 block of West 26th Street, between 11 p.m., June 1 and 9 a.m., June 2. A license plate from a 1996 Oldsmobile was stolen.

Roland Park

Stolen Auto: 100 block of Woodlawn Road, between 10 p.m., May 27 and 8 a.m., May 28. A red 2010 Bashan Gabella scooter was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 600 block of West University Parkway, between 9 a.m. and noon, May 31. The window of a Chevy was broken and a Tom Tom GPS and a cell phone were stolen.

Burglary Commercial: 4500 block of Falls Road, between 11:45 p.m., May 27 and 10:20 a.m., May 28. A burglar broke into Arlon’s through the front door glass and stole and undisclosed amount of money.

Loyola/Notre Dame

Larceny from Machine: 5100 block of York Road, 11:50 a.m., May 30.  Two thieves broke into a vending machine and stole money.

Larceny from Auto: unit block of East Cold Spring Lane, between 9 a.m. and noon, May 31. The window of a 2003 KIA was broken and knife was stolen from the vehicle.

Evergreen

Larceny from Auto: 200 block of West Cold Spring Lane, between 3:40 and 5 p.m., May 31. The window of a 2007 Honda was broken and a pocketbook, credit card and driver’s license were stolen.

Chinquapin Park-Belvedere

Armed Robbery: 6100 block of Ready Avenue, 8:41 p.m., May 28. Multiple robbers approached a man. One of the robbers pulled out a handgun and told the man to "give it up." The other robbers started to assault the man while one of them went through the man’s pockets and stole a wallet, $30 and a cell phone.

Guilford

Stolen Auto: 200 block of Northway between 8 p.m., May 28 and 9 a.m., May 29. A 2004 Chrysler Pacifica with Massachusetts plates was stolen, but it was recovered May 31 in the 4100 block of Old York Road. 

Larceny from Auto: 100 block of Millbrook between 4:45 p.m., May 28 and 8:20 a.m., May 29. The window of a 2007 Honda was broken and an iPod and Garmin GPS were stolen.

Attempted Larceny from Auto: 400 block of Northway, 6:20 a.m., May 29. The window of a 2005 Chevy was broken, but no items were stolen.

Larceny from Building: 3900 block of St. Paul Street, 4 p.m., May 29. Thieves stole copper downspouts.

Larceny: 3800 block of Fenchurch Road, between 11:15 p.m., May 29 and 7:45 p.m., May 30. A man had a party at his house and a guest stole his wallet with his license and credit cards, as well as $300. 

Abell

Larceny: 400 block of East 33rd Street, 3:30 p.m., May 29. A man left his wallet on the counter at a store. When he returned the wallet, which contained a debit card and $20, was missing. Security footage showed someone taking the wallet.

Tuscany-Canterbury

Larceny from Auto: 100 block Overhill Road, between 7 p.m., June 1 and 6:30 a.m., June 2. A Garmin GPS was stolen from an unlocked 2008 Subaru.

Larceny from Auto: 4200 block Wickford Road, between 6 p.m., June 1 and 11 a.m., June 2. An MP3 player and Garmin GPS were stolen from an unlocked 2010 Hyundai.

Larceny from Auto: 200 block of Overhill Road, between 4 p.m., June 1 and 9:45 a.m., June 2. An iPad and checkbook were stolen from an unlocked 2007 Honda.
