North Baltimore Crime: Man Picks Fight, Gets Beat Up

Aggravated Assault: 500 block of East 35th Street, 8:10 p.m., June 4. A man who attempted to pick a fight ended up being taken to Union Memorial Hospital with injuries to his face. The injured man was reportedly trying to start a fight with another man who was accompanied by two other men. They then began punching, kicking and hitting the man with PVC pipe and a trashcan.

Burglary Residential: 600-block East 29th Street, between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., June 4. A burglar entered a home through a front window and stole a Phillips base speaker.

Larceny from Auto: 100 block of East 30th Street, between 10:15 a.m. and 4 p.m., June 6. A radio and coins were stolen from an unlocked 1999 Honda.

Stolen Auto: 200 block of East University Parkway, 9 p.m., June 7. A white 2006 Buick Lacrosse was stolen.

Stolen Auto: 2600 block of North Charles Street, between 7:30 and 11:45 p.m., June 7. A green 1999 Toyota Camry was stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 3500 block of St. Paul Street, 9 p.m., June 6. The window of a 2002 Honda was broken. A Sony stereo and a Magellan GPS were stolen.

Larceny from Auto: 2900 block of North Charles Street, between 7 p.m., June 8 and 5 p.m., June 9. A radio and CD player were stolen from an unlocked 2001 Honda.

Larceny from Auto: 3700 block of St. Paul Street, between 8:15 a.m. and 7:45 p.m., June 8. The window of a 2003 Nissan was broken, and a Garmin GPS and MP3 player were stolen.

Guilford

Burglary Residential: 200 block of St. Martin’s Road, 8 p.m., June 3. A burglar entered the house through an unlocked door and smashed several windowpanes. The burglar left without taking any property.

Hampden

Larceny from Auto: 800 block of West 36th Street, between 2 and 3 p.m., June 7. A handicap placard was stolen from an unlocked 2007 Toyota.

Loyola/Notre Dame

Larceny from Auto: 4500 block of North Charles Street, between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., June 7. The window of a 2010 Subaru was broken and a GPS unit was stolen.

Poplar Hill/North Roland Park

Burglary Garage: 1100 block of Bellemore Road, 12:30 p.m., June 8. A burglar entered the unlocked garage and stole a bike.

Remington

Aggravated Assault: 2700 block of Hampden Avenue, 2:29 a.m., June 7. A woman told her ex-boyfriend to stop making noise in front of her home. He then punched the woman, dragged her into the house and burnt her with a cigarette before running away.

Aggravated Assault: 2700 block of Huntingdon Avenue, 1:20 p.m., June 4. An assailant sprayed a woman in the face and punched her before jumping in a tan SUV and driving off. The woman refused medical treatment.

Villages of Homeland

Larceny From Auto: 300 block of Homeland Southway, between noon and 1:30 p.m., June 4. Baseball cards were stolen from a silver 2010 Infinity G37X.

Waverly

Larceny from Auto: 500 block of East 33rd Street, between 3:45 and 3:55 p.m., June 6. A laptop was stolen from an unlocked 2006 Chevy. 

Woodbourne-McCabe

Attempted Commercial Armed Robbery: 5200 block of York Road, 8:40 p.m., June 7. A robber entered First Express Food Store and pointed a black handgun at the store’s owner and demanded money. The storeowner’s wife yelled at the robber, who then ran away without taking any property.
