The Perry Hall High School community has taken to social media to show their support for Daniel Borowy, the 17-year-old victim in Monday's shooting at Perry Hall High School.
During a prayer service Tuesday morning, many wore shirts that read "Pray for Daniel" and "Stay Strong Daniel," in Borowy's honor.
During a Tuesday news conference, police officially confirmed Borowy's identity and stated that he remained in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma into Tuesday morning.
Local collections have begun to help raise money for his family.
Shannon Otakie Bray, president of the Perry Hall High School Alumni Association, released the following statement:
The Perry Hall High School Alumni Association is collecting funds to help Daniel Borowy's family with necessary medical expenses.
If you would like to make a donation, please go to our website and click the "donate" button to the right. We will assume that 100% of all funds donated over the course of the next month are to be directed towards the Borowry family.
More information is available on the website, www.perryhallgrads.com.

I pray for Daniels recovery, for his families stress and also pray that this horrible incident doesn't create a horrible financial burden from all the medical bills. Maybe we as a community can start some type of fund to assist the family.

Yeah, I know first hand how medical expenses can pile up, and fast.
Almost drove us to bankruptcy and potentially losing our house the first year after I got married.
Here's hoping Daniel makes a full recovery first and foremost, and the bills are managable. Maryland's got a decent system if they fiscally qualify. Well, it's decent if you can muck through all the red tape.

It's one thing to pray for someone, but that doesn't help the family. Donate money if you truly want to help because prayers are not going to pay the bills. I wish you the best Daniel and hope everything comes out ok.

Prayers do help so please keep them coming and if you can afford to please donate to help Daniel's family with not only the medical expenses but all the other expenses. Even when Daniel is discharged there will still be medical cost. Just as an example: I was in shock trauma after a car accident and my bills totaled
over $100, 000. Please also pray for all the people that were in P.H.H.S. at the time and their loved ones.

To ttocs : All of this family's children went to a Christian school (except for Daniel, who needed special schooling.) Knowing this family, I am sure they want and need all of our prayers at this time for their Daniel. Getting Daniel well is their main concern right now and once he is out of danger, they will tackle the financial end. Donating money is wonderful; they will need it, but PRAYERS AND MORE PRAYERS FOR DANIEL is what they need at this very moment. Please pray for Daniel's recovery, and if you can, donate money also. And if you are a true Christian, pray for Bobby also.

The church that me and Daniel go to is also raising money for his medical expenses and his family is in desperate need of food. The church will handle all of the money before it goes to the family. http://phfwc.org/daniel/

I also wanted to point out that I agree with jpadams. Prayers are definately needed. I'm so glad that Daniel is doing well. He can't wait to get back to church!
