Police Called to Hampden for Possible Armed Person Report

An individual in the 1400 block of Union Avenue was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation.

Baltimore City police took an individual into custody on Sunday after being called to the 1400 block of Union Avenue at about 6 p.m. Sunday to investigate a possible armed person.

Police arrived at the scene and took an individual into custody who was later taken to an area hospital for an evaluation, Det. Jeremy Silbert said.  

A Patch reader wrote in an email that he had received a robocall instructing nearby residents to stay inside because of the incident.
