Police Report Double Shooting
The shooting reportedly happened in the 900 block of Gorsuch Avenue.
Baltimore police have reported a double shooting in the 900 block of Gorsuch Avenue in Better Waverly at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the department’s Twitter account, both of the victims involved in the shooting are expected to survive their wounds.
Officers have reportedly identified a person of interest.

One of the victims was a 4 year old child. Literally right around the corner from my house. Things are truly out of control. The guns have got to be gotten under control.

It took a sick man pulling the trigger to cause this. How about blaming him and not the guns? Certainly it wasn't the gun that made him do it.

Of course it wasn't the gun that did it AF. It was the bastard that pulled the trigger on it. But I would be willing to be a huge chunk of change that that particular gun was an illegal unregistered gun and I am sincerely doubting it was his hunting rifle or the handgun he "takes to the range" for target practice. And in a moment of domestic rage he grabbed the thing and shot a woman and a child. And I also doubt the gun will have its feelings hurt by me saying so.

Oh, and of course these two and one more last night (plus the one yesterday afternoon) drive the shootings number up to 28 this year I believe. That's up I think 55% over last year.

Having guns has lowered crime more than raised it. Many times people who are thinking about robbing a place will not if they know the owner has a gun. Remember, the slugs of humanity prey on the weak and innocent. They often do not stand up to those who have the power to push back. If it had not been a gun, then it would have been a knife, or a rope, or some other thing. Maybe even his bare hands. Violence is violence. All it takes is to give in to a moment of rage to change history forever.Often at the cost of many suffering in your wake.

The subject of guns and their effect on crime has been studied ad nausem. The upshot is that more guns doesn't effect the crime rate one way or the other.
