Robbers Use Craig’s List to Rob Evesham Park Man

The man was trying to cell his cell phone through the website.

 

A man was robbed in Evesham Park after arranging to sell his cell phone via Craig’s List.

According to a police report, a man arranged to meet the person he believed was interested in purchasing his cell phone at 6:30 p.m., Oct. 7 in the 800 block of Dartmouth Road.

But upon arriving at the location one of the robbers snatched the phone from the man’s hands and took off running.

Please spread the word - if you are selling something to someone you don't know, you can use the lobby of any of the local police stations as a meeting place. It it's big, you can use the parking lot. Just check in with the desk sergeant when you get there...
