Roland Park Civic League Supports Miss Shirley's Expansion

The neighborhood organization will send a letter to the Board of Municipal and Zoning Appeals supporting the expansion.

The Roland Park Civic League has given its blessing to plans to expand on the condition that future exterior renovations for S’ghetti Eddie’s comply with the neighborhood master plan.

Eddie Dopkin, owner of Crazy Man Restaurant Group that includes the two restaurants, said he plans on extending Miss Shirley’s next door into the current School of Rock building, which plans to move to a new location at Meadow Mill.

The expansion is necessary to add storage space, expand the food preparation area and double the amount of restrooms, Dopkin said. The expansion will also allow the restaurant to add a maximum of 50 seats inside and outside of the restaurant.

Dopkin also said during the meeting that his plans to secure a liquor license for is currently on hold because he has not been able to reach a compromise with homeowners in the Evergreen neighborhood.
