'The Baltimore Sun': Hontroversy All Over Again

Vendors are given a list of what they can and can't sell as Honfest approaches.

Just when you thought the battle about who owns the colloquialism "Hon" was over, it's back.

According to The Baltimore Sun, merchants at this year's Honfest are being prohibited from selling "Hon"-related merchandise, including cat's eye glasses. 

Vendors participating in this year's festival received a flier prohibiting them from selling anything that could infringe upon Cafe Hon owner Denise Whiting's trademark, along with other sensitive subjects, like political or religious messages.

Last year, a battle erupted about who owned the popular term after it was revealed that Whiting, also the festival's organizer, had trademarked it.

Honfest is scheduled to take place in Hampden on June 11 and 12.
