Warrant Issued in Charles Village Shooting

Police do not want to release the name yet of the person they believe is responsible for the Thursday morning shooting.

Baltimore City police obtained a warrant for the person they believe shot a man in the 2600 block of St. Paul Street Thursday but are not identifying the alleged shooter.

"The Warrant Apprehension Task Force has the warrant and is going to locate the suspect to make the arrest. We do not want to release the name at this point. Hopefully an arrest will be made soon,” according to an email from Deputy Maj. Richard Worley, the second in command in the Northern District.

The man who was shot, identified as a Prince George’s County resident, was approached by a robber with a handgun who demanded money, and then shot the man, spokesman Det. Kevin Brown said last week.
