Week in Review: Shootings, Robberies and Kick-Off Parties

A look back at the big stories in North Baltimore from this past week.

 

Men Found Shot on Bellona Avenue

Two men were found shot in the 6000 block of Bellona Avenue late Thursday night. Police said they believe the shooting was the result of a drug dispute. 

Harwood Murder Victim Identified

Police identified the man who was found shot and killed in the 2600 block of Boone Street as 21-year-old Damon Vaughn, of the 3900 block of Greenmount Avenue. Vaughn had an extensive criminal record including a conviction for attempted armed robbery in 2007, according online court records.

Charles Village Benefits District Launches Safety Program

On Wednesday, the Charles Village Community Benefits District started it’s new safety program to help crackdown on some of the persistent crime in the community.

Hampden to Host Open Studio Kick Off Party

The Hampden neighborhood will host the kick-off party for the Baltimore Office of Promotions and the Arts’ Open Studio Tour.

Group Robs Lake Walker Residents

A group of four people were getting out of a car in the 1000 block of Woodson Road when they were surrounded by a group of six robbers. One of the robbers pointed a gun while the other members frisked the residents and stole $4.

Oh gee, big haul ,$4.00, I hope they didn't break a nail. And it took 6 of them. That comes out to less than a dollar each,
