Thinking Out Loud: Baltimore Rat Race; Digital TV Not There Yet; 2012 Census Estimates

Baltimore Rat Race:

Okay, now that the Baltimore Grand Prix is back on, can the City please turn to the more mundane, daily problem of fighting grime and rats?  A lot of time and effort went into getting the Grand Prix up and running for the second year.  I'd take even a fraction of that effort applied to cleaning up this town.

Digital TV - Not There Yet:

I don't know about you, but I am finding the switchover to digital television from the old analog signals isn't going as good as promised.  My TV picture freezes up and/or loses sound on a regular basis.  I don't have a flat screen idiot box or anything, but the deal was we didn't have to buy one to get the new digital signals, we only had to get the converter box, which I did.  I just don't remember all these problems with the old analog signals.  Digital TV - it's not there yet.

U. S. Census:

The U. S. Census Bureau is releasing some 2012 estimates.  I can't wait to see what they have for Baltimore.  It would be great news if Baltimore City sees an increase in population.  I'm holding my breath.  I am hoping for the best (an increase) but expecting the worse (a decrease).

Regarding digital TV, I forgot to mention one of the main recurring problems - losing the signal! I don't remember ever losing the analog signal, not once.

Before I had cable I remember that whenever Foxtrot was in the area it would screw up the digital signal.
