A monthly look at dogs available for adoption in North Baltimore.
This weeks’ furry family member in need of a home is Fozzy, a grey and white, adult male Shih Tzu.  Though Shih Tzu means “Lion” in Mandarin, this little guy’s personality has more in common with the friendly Muppet he’s been named for.  Fozzy’s small size and mature age makes him easy to care for. He enjoys walks, and playing along the water’s edge, but his favorite activity is calmly snuggling up in a warm lap.  Fozzy is very friendly towards everyone he meets, but his “Waltzing Matilda” attitude, as the shelter has deemed him, means he would do best in a calm house, without small children…
Welcome to The Dog House. Each month Patch will feature one of North Baltimore's homeless dogs in need of a loving forever-home. Our first four-pawed friend, Oliver, a 9 months old German Shepherd mix breed, is currently at the Maryland SPCA on Falls Road in Hampden. The facility's ongoing renovations has made less space for pets, making adoptions even more crucial. Oliver gets along great with everyone at the shelter, and he always brings laughter by performing what the staff call his "Swinging Tap Dancer" attitude.
