SVS at Capital AudioFest

Music fans and audio enthusiasts around the Beltway will have a reason to celebrate this summer when SVS debuts their acclaimed Ultra Series Speakers for the first time locally at Capital Audiofest in the Sheraton Hotel, Silver Spring, MD July 26-28. Media and individuals with an appreciation for good sound can treat their ears to demos of the critically acclaimed Ultra Speakers and dozens of other audio systems during the DC area’s only public HiFi listening event.

SVS also has a local tie-in since the value-performance driven brand is led by Gary Yacoubian, a Maryland resident and familiar face around the capital from his previous role as president and COO of Gaithersburg, MD-based MyerEmco, a specialty retailer/custom installation outfit. Yacoubian worked his way up from store manager to president during a career spanning 21 years which saw him selling and installing systems across many of the Mid-Atlantic States, before joining the SVS team.

“As a DC-area resident, I’m beyond excited to show off the Ultra Speakers to my local friends and old MyerEmco colleagues,” said Yacoubian, president and managing partner of SVS. “The Ultra Speakers prove that you don’t need to refinance the house to get an incredible audio experience. Having Capital Audiofest right in my backyard is a great opportunity to spread awareness and let people hear the difference for themselves in a fun atmosphere.”

SVS will present the acclaimed Ultra Speakers in stereo and surround sound configurations in The Elm Room at Capital Audio Fest 2013. Falling within the “budget” category among other Capital Audiofest exhibitors, the SVS Ultra Speakers deliver uncompromised audio performance, outperforming loudspeakers costing two and three times as much. Audiofest  attendees are also invited to bring their own CDs to the SVS room so they can make comparisons to home systems or other speakers at the show.

Capital Audiofest will also feature raffle drawings and live music events open to all attendees. There is no cost for media, the entrance fee for attendees is $20. Pre-registration is available on the Capital Audiofest website.
