Archdiocese Announces Cathedral Holy Week Mass Schedule

A variety of services will be held at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen Thursday through Easter Sunday.

The week of Easter marks a time of renewal for the faithful. To help area Catholics celebrate, the Archdiocese of Baltimore has released a schedule of services for the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen and for the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Mount Vernon.

Archbishop William E. Lori will celebrate Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday masses at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen on Charles Street, according to a news release from the Archdiocese.

A full list of services held at the cathedral follows:

March 28: Holy Thursday, Mass of the Lord’s Supper, 7 p.m.
March 29: Good Friday, the Passion of the Lord, 3 p.m.
March 30: Holy Saturday, Easter Vigil, 8 p.m.
March 31: Easter Sunday, Mass, 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m.

On Easter Sunday, Lori will celebrate a 10:45 a.m. Mass at the Basilica on Cathedral Street, according to a news release from the Archdiocese..

March 28: Holy Thursday, Mass of the Lord’s Supper, 5:30 p.m.
March 29: Good Friday, the Passion of the Lord, 12:10 p.m.
March 30: Holy Saturday, Easter Vigil, 7:30 p.m.
March 31: Easter Sunday, 8 a.m., 10:45 a.m.

Sunday will mark the grand re-opening of the Basilica, which had to be partially closed for repairs following a magnitude 5.8 earthquake in Virginia back in 2011, the release states.
