Not Your Average Christmas Decorations

This Hampden home replaces Christmas red with Ravens purple.

Now many people like to gawk at Christmas decorations this time of year.

They like the pangs of nostalgia caused by all the pretty lights and Santas adorning yards and homes.

I’m not a total scrooge. I like Christmas decorations too. It’s just that I’m a little particular about my lights, faux snow and inflatable snowman combinations.

To me Christmas decoration ought to be tastefully restrained. The decorations should include candles in the window, a wreath on the door and maybe some bunting on the windows.

But if you can’t go the restrained route you better come with something completely out of left field.

That’s why I decided to feature this front yard full of yuletide Ball So Hard University pride. I think this is exactly the kind of decorating North Baltimore needs to show Patch to bring home $100,000 for Baltimore City Public Schools.

Oh, and while your out and about town this holiday season, remember to grab a picture of your favorite left-of-center decorations and share them by clicking the upload button under the photo above.
