Celebration of Art at Cylburn- Gallery Reception

Daffodils and azaleas will not be the only things blossoming at Cylburn this spring.  Regional artists from throughout Maryland will be “popping up” all over the Cylburn grounds to capture the unique beauty of the Arboretum as part of our first time event, A Celebration of Art at Cylburn.

Their works will be shown, and available for sale, at a special ticketed gallery reception on Saturday, June 18, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and a public show on Sunday, June 19, 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Baltimore-based artist Greg Otto and his wife, Contributing Writer for Baltimore Style magazine Kathy Hudson are serving as Honorary Co-Chairs of the event.  Saturday’s gallery reception offers the chance to preview the work before the public show on Sunday, and promises to be a festive evening.   Live jazz will be playing all evening and light cocktail fare will be served.

The evening reception and Sunday’s public show will raise funds to support the mission of the Association to "protect Cylburn Arboretum as a place of open space, beauty, and learning."  We hope that the event will showcase the Arboretum as a place not only to enjoy nature, but also to engage in creative endeavors highlighting the connection of art and nature.   Please call (410) 367-2217 or visit www.cylburnassociation.org to purchase tickets.  Tickets: $75 per person
