QuestFest Puppet Shows

Puppetry Plays a Big Role in QuestFest, the Visual Theatre Festival

BALTIMORE, MD., Feb. 27, 2012 – In an appeal to puppetry fans throughout the Washington/ Baltimore area, QuestFest 2012, the biennial premier international visual theatre festival produced by Quest Visual Theatre, will feature several puppet shows and master classes during the festival which runs from March 9-April 8.

Of particular note is the world premiere of “Between Mean,” which will be performed by the Black Cherry Puppet Theater at the Creative Alliance in Baltimore March 30 and 31.   And the Baltimore-based Nana Projects will perform “Alonzo’s Lullaby” at the Baltimore Theatre Project March 9, 10 and 11.

Additionally, Black Cherry Puppet Theater will present a Masterclass on puppetry on March 27 from 6-9 p.m. at the Black Cherry Puppet Theatre, 1115 Hollins Street in Baltimore.  And Nana Projects will give a Shadow Project Puppet Workshop on March 3 at 1 p.m. at the Baltimore Theatre Project.
