From The Arc Baltimore:
Join The Arc Baltimore on Friday, September 7, 5-8 p.m., for some down home fun at “Backyard Fest.”
Celebrating The Arc Baltimore in our community, Backyard Fest will feature moon bounces, face painting, and games and activities for the kids, as well as raffles, contests, crafts, food and drink, and the eclectic music of Sound Storm, which plays everything from Stevie Wonder, Sam & Dave, and The Commodores to BB King, Elvis, and even Jimi Hendrix.
The Arc Baltimore’s Backyard Fest is open to everyone and admission is free.
“Backyard Fest will bring together all of the people that make The Arc Baltimore’s mission possible – volunteers and staff, the many individuals with disabilities who are part of our program, their families, and members of the local community,” says Arc Baltimore Executive Director Stephen Morgan.
The Arc Baltimore serves more than 5,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families each year. Whether the disability stems from Down Syndrome, autism, epilepsy, or other disorders, The Arc helps people to live, work, and thrive in our community.
Backyard Fest will be held in the parking lot and field behind The Arc Baltimore’s headquarters at 7215 York Road (at the intersection of York Road and Stevenson Lane) in Towson, MD. Free parking will be available at nearby Central Presbyterian Church. Rain date is Friday, September 14.
