American Cancer Society Cancer Prevention Study 3 at Harbor Hospital

Cancer Prevention Study 3 (CPS-3) of the American Cancer Society is a chance to fight back against cancer and help save lives.  By enrolling in the study, volunteers will help the American Cancer Society reach its ultimate goal of
eliminating cancer as a major health problem.  Register ahead for an appointment at www.CPS3baltimore.org.  Walk ins welcome.

CPS-3 will help cancer researchers better understand
the genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that cause or prevent cancer.   The famous CPS-1 study established the link between smoking and lung cancer took place in the 1950s.  

Volunteers must be: Between age 30 to 65 and have
never been diagnosed with cancer (except for basal or squamous cell skin carcinoma).  You must provide a waist
measurement, give a small blood sample and complete a
comprehensive survey and follow-up surveys every few years.
