Chesapeake Systems Opens Offices in Former Hampden Church

The Mount Vernon Methodist Church in Hampden was damaged by a fire sparked when lightning struck its steeple.

Chesapeake Systems, a computer technology company, celebrated the opening of its new home in Hampden on Wednesday.

The firm rehabbed the historic Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Hampden at 801 W. 33rd St.

The church was damaged in a fire after its steeple was struck by lightning in 2008.
