Santé: Spoil Your Palate

As the area’s premier food and beverage pairing event, this business/casual fête will feature Maryland’s best cuisine, prepared by some of its most acclaimed chefs, complimented by American and European craft beer; wine and spirits.

While spoiling their palates with the event’s food and beverage offerings, guests can enjoy the steel drum sounds of Tropical Heat and bid on autographed sports memorabilia, dining and entertainment packages, local art, spa, health and fitness packages, and more in the silent auction.

The live auction will feature some unique opportunities, including a one-week stay at a waterfront Hilton Head vacation home for 10 in the private Sea Pines community. Professionally decorated, the property features a pool, beach access, hot tub, Jacuzzi bath tub, Plasma TV, antique floors and a two-car garage.

A fundraiser to support the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD), the event will honor Matthew R. Weir, M.D. (attending physician and director, University of Maryland School of Medicine’s nephrology division and professor, University of Maryland School of Medicine) and Pamela Paulk (vice president of human resources for Johns Hopkins Health System and the Johns Hopkins Hospital).

Sponsorship chair is long-time NKF-MD supporter, Ronald M. Shapiro (co-founder and chairman of Shapiro Negotiations Institute), the expert negotiator, attorney, sports agent, educator, New York Times bestselling author and civic leader. Co-chairs are Ronald M. Causey (managing director of SC&H Group, LLC) and NKF-MD board member, Paul Mark Sandler (partner at Shapiro Sher Guinot & Sandler.)
