Hampden Has Reason To BProud

Readers of Gay Life and friends of GLCCB selected the neighborhood and its businesses as some of the best in the area.

Gay Life readers and friends of the GLCCB named selected some of their favorite communities, organizations and businesses in the first-ever BProud Awards, many of them are in North Baltimore.

Hampden was the runner up, finishing behind Mt. Vernon, as the favorite neighborhood.

The gay-straight alliance at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute was named the best such group at a high school by readers.

The ACLU of Maryland—its offices are located in Woodberry—were chosen as the best legal services.
