Rotunda Calls MOM's: Organic Grocer Moves In

The Rotunda location will be the chain's second in the Baltimore area.

MOM's Organic Market will be moving into the former Giant space at the Rotunda, the complex's management announced Tuesday.

The location will be the grocery chain's second in the Baltimore area. A Timonium location opened in 2011. The chain specializes organic and natural food, including an array of local brands like Zia's Cafe, Zeke's Coffee and The Wild Pea.

"We are extremely pleased to report that [the Timonium store] has become one of our best performing stores and we are now ready to venture further into the Baltimore market." Scott Nash, founder and CEO of MOM’s, said in a release.

The Rotunda location will also include The Naked Lunch, an all-organic sit-down eatery, according to the release. The release did not specify when the new store is expected to open.

MOM's was first floated as an option in March for the Rotunda, after Giant left last year for the nearby Green Spring Tower.
