S’ghetti Eddie's Seeks Liquor License
The Roland Park Civic League will submit a letter of support to the city liquor board.
The Roland Park Civic League has approved a request from S’ghetti Eddie’s owner Eddie Dopkin for a letter of support for a Class B liquor license at the Cold Spring Lane eatery.
The league voted 10-1 at its Thursday meeting to write a letter of support for the license that will contain several conditions, including: sales are restricted only to beer and wine (no liquor), sales are restricted to inside the restaurant, no sales will be allowed after midnight, and there will be no bar inside the restaurant. In addition, the license will not transfer in the event the restaurant is sold by the Dopkin family.
S’ghetti Eddie’s currently has a BYOB policy, which will become void if the license is granted. There is currently no date for the application to be presented to the liquor board.
The Class B license is a seven-day beer-wine license that requires a minimum of 51 percent of restaurant sales be food. Dopkin estimates the beer-wine sales will account for approximately 15 percent of S’ghetti Eddie’s business.
