TV Show VEEP Films in Charles Village

The corner of 33rd and Charles Street served as the setting for a shoot for the HBO program on Thursday.

The corner of Charles and 33rd streets on Thursday became part of the fictional world of VEEP, a new HBO comedy starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, best known for her role as Towson native Elaine Benes on Seinfeld.

The show is about a U.S. senator who accepts the position of vice president, but finds out it's not all it's cracked up to be.

The show filmed its pilot in Maryland in February, and has returned to continue filming the series.
