Visions for Vacancies: New System Bakery and Café

Painted on the yellow building at the corner of 34th Street and Chestnut Avenue is "New System Bakery and Café since 1921."

There’s also a sign placed in the window that reads “Closed after 88 years…[The Economy won]."

The former bakery is just one of many small businesses done in within the last few years because of the economy.

But in the sense of moving forward Patch is asking its readers to share what they would like to see take over the space where a business once was located.
