Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC (ARD&H) Associate C.J. Persson was appointed chair of the business law committee of the Bar Association of Baltimore City (BABC).
“I am excited by the opportunity to chair the committee and recognize that I have big shoes to fill given the leadership of my predecessor, David McI. Williams,” Persson said.
“One of our goals is to collaborate with local graduate schools or community organizations to provide guidance to local, low-income entrepreneurs and small businesses who lack access to business and legal advice,” she added. “I also hope the committee will inspire more involvement from local attorneys.”
Bringing over 13 years of legal experience with 15 years of business management experience, Persson represents companies of all sizes and maturity in the health care, technology, construction, manufacturing, finance, beauty and retail industries.
She provides counsel on a full spectrum of business issues including, but not limited to, entity formation and private financing, commercial leasing, employee benefits, importing and trade compliance, intellectual property protection and tax. Her practice also includes developing and drafting compliance programs for health care providers.
Prior to joining ARD&H in 2010, Persson was deputy general counsel at Fila U.S.A., Inc., and a corporate and tax associate at two Baltimore law firms. In addition to chairing the Bar Association of Baltimore City’s Business Law Committee, she is a member-at-large to the Maryland State Bar Association’s Business Law Section Council.
Persson graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor‘s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida. She proceeded to earn a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law, where she was an associate editor of The Business Lawyer, followed by an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
