On Wednesday, September 12, 2012, City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young will continue a discussion on the important role recreational activity plays in the development of Baltimore’s youth.

Please plan to join us here at City Hall as the Council’s Budget and Appropriations Committee meets for a public hearing to consider City Council President Young’s resolution requiring City agencies to adopt recreation centers. The public hearing will be held Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall (100 N. Holiday Street.)

In July, City Council President Young introduced this resolution, 12-0058R – City Agency Adoption of Recreation Centers, calling on leaders of the five largest agencies to appear before the Council to discuss the potential for city agency partnerships with recreation centers slated for closure or private partnership.
