Freeze Warning Issued for Baltimore Area

Cold temperatures followed by early warm weather could damage some vegetation.

After very last week, Mother Nature is going to remind us that it is only March.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning over night for the Baltimore metropolitan area.

A freeze warning is an alert that some vegetation that has reached growing stages ahead of schedule because of unseasonably warm weather could be damaged by freezing temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast for Baltimore City predicts temperatures will drop to about 37 degrees between Monday night and Tuesday morning. For the rest of the week temperatures will be in the 50s for a high and in the high 30s for a low. But temperatures are expected to creep back into the 60s during the weekend.
