Breathe Books has expanded the business to include a café.
The new Breathe Books Café debuted on Friday, and now offers vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and Ayurvedic sweets, savories and soups, according to an email from owner Susan Weis-Bohlen. The store also offers organic coffee, tea and fresh juice.
"I look forward to the vibrant new atmosphere the café will bring. We have plenty of seating in the bookstore where you can enjoy your veggie delights surrounded by books, and plenty of outdoor seating along the porch, and upstairs where you can browse our vast used book section, surf the web, and enjoy the view on The Avenue," Weis-Bohlen’s email reads.

The store, located at 810 W. 36th St., is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Breathe is the latest store in Hampden to expand its business beyond its traditional scope.

Last Month Ma Petite Shoe opened a complimentary café called CHOUX, and earlier this spring Atomic Books announced an expansion of their Celebrated Summer record store and the addition of a bar.
