Heat Advisory Issued for Baltimore
The National Weather Service predicts temperatures could reach the mid 90s with a heat index of more than 100 degrees on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat warning for Baltimore on Wednesday.
The heat index is supposed to reach more than 100 degrees and actual temperatures are expected to reach the mid 90s.
"A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible,” according to the warning.

Residents are urged to avoid strenuous activity outside, to wear light and loose fitting clothing if you have to be outdoors and to drink plenty of water.
The warning also asks residents to stay in air-conditioned rooms, to be on the look out for symptoms of heat stroke and to check in on their elderly neighbors.

According to the National Weather Service forecast, temperatures will again be in the mid 90s on Thursday, but the blast of heat isn’t expected to last long.
By Friday the temperatures are expected to be back in the low 90s and by Sunday a high of 86 degrees is in the forecast.
