National Weather Service Issues a Wind Advisory for Baltimore City

Not much snow to show for all the warnings

(UPDATE 11:06 a.m.)  North Baltimore hasn't been teleported to Chicago but it's awfully windy outside.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory which means gusts of wind could be greater than 45 miles per hour. Winds that high could make driving difficult especially for vehicles with a high profile.

A positive side effect of all the wind is that it blew what little snow fell in the area off the sidewalks.

BGE is currently reporting there are about 944 power outages throughout the city.

Despite all the hand wringing and gnashing of teeth there's very little white stuff to show for all the dire predictions.

At one point there were predictions the city could see as much as 10 inches of snow. By Sunday the National Weather Service was downgrading the impact of the storm.

Around the city today it looks as if only about an inch of snow remains on grassy areas.
