According to Baltimore City police, a person attempted to burglarize a business in the 3000 block of Chestnut Avenue, but instead wound up hiding in a closet and was discovered by employees.

The Baltimore Shakespeare Festival, which has staged performances at its headquarters at 3900 Roland Avenue at St. Mary's in Hampden and at the Meadow at Evergreen Museum and Library in the summer, announced its closure on its website on Wednesday.

Otis Rolley, who has served in the administrations of Kurt Schmoke, Martin O'Malley and Sheila Dixon, opened his campaign office in Hampden. The event drew a full crowd that packed the row home on The Avenue.

The new borders for Baltimore's 14 City Council districts approved last week will go into effect in December, not this month, according to an opinion released Tuesday by Baltimore City Solicitor George Nilson.
