Patch Rounds Up Thanksgiving Events

Check out some of the events in North Baltimore and add your own to the events calendar.

Looking for someting to do for the Thanksgiving holiday?

Well check out these events and add anymore that may be of interest to our calendar.

  • The Salvation Army will serve Thanksgiving Dinner to needy families in Hampden. Volunteers are still needed to serve the meal. Interested volunteers are asked to show up by 9 am., and dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Thursday.
  • The will kick off Thursday at 10 a.m. at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium. This will be the 92nd meeting between Calvert Hall and Loyola-Blakefield in football. So what interest do Baltimore City residents have? Well they may want to check out the Dons and get an early glimpse of the next crop of Baltimore City councilmen. Councilmen William Cole, Bill Henry, William “Pete” Welch, Carl Stokes and Robert Curran are Loyola-Blakefield graduates.
  • Residents of The Orchards neighborhood will gather on Gilman Field, just across the pedestrian bridge that crosses Northern Parkway, to play in the neighborhood's annual Turkey Bowl pickup football game at 10 a.m., Thursday.
  • The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will face off on in an all too appropriate family smack down when 'Niners' head coach Jim Harbaugh brings his team east to take on his brother and Ravens’ head coach John Harbaugh, at 8:20 p.m. You can catch the game at the Ottobar. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
