Snow Adds Flair to 'Miracle on 34th Street'

Famed Christmas display covered in the year's first measurable snow fall

Yesterday's snowfall slowed traffic throughout North Baltimore, forced residents to shovel their sidewalks, but also added a nice element to one of the area's celebrated holiday traditions, the "Miracle on 34th Street."

Every year one of the signs that the holiday season is upon Charm City is the decorations and lights going up on the row homes in the 700 block of W. 34th Street.

On most nights leading up to Christmas the street is lined with cars and pedestrians gawking at the lights, and some unique features, such as a Christmas tree made of hubcaps.

The lights are always great entertainment, but there's nothing quite like catching this Baltimore tradition covered in this winter's first (measureable) snow.

The one good thing about the cold weather hanging around is that the snow will too. So residents will have the chance to check out the lights on 34th Street with a little added holiday flare this weekend.
