Vintage North Baltimore: Mt. Washington Train Station

Check out this historic photograph, courtesy of the Baltimore County Public Library.

Long before the Light Rail came to Mt. Washington, the the community was home to a station on the Northern Central Railway.

The picture, from Baltimore County Library's photo collection, shows a train from the railway heading south on the line in about 1900.

According to information posted with the photo, this area flooded in 1868 during the great flood.
